The plant has two steam Turbine Generators (TG6 and TG7), one Cooling Tower (CT4) along with associated auxiliary equipment. Through analyzing each component characteristics and interactions within and between turbine generator and cooling tower, the optimization problem is formulated as that of maximizing the net power generation of all power producing and consuming devices with Fans operating limitations as constraints.

 

 

Result

The left figure is the fan of original operation and the right figure is the fan of recommendatory operation .The Y-axis show that how many fans for close mode, low mode, and high mode. After following the optimal operation, the plant can save or get 4677MW for one month.
